The Catalpa House is an historic country inn situated in the hamlet of
Rensselaerville, in the Helderberg Moutains of southwestern Albany County.
From the moment you enter this extraordinary hamlet, you'll feel as though
you've stepped back in time to a more peaceful and genteel way of life.
Rensselaerville is a designated historical district and is listed on both
the State and National Registers of Historic Places. It survives as an
unspoiled example of nineteenth century domestic architecture, display
several styles.
Your hosts
Steve and Marlene Omlor welcome you to the inn, originally built in 1806
and lovingly restored by them in 1997.
